COVID-19: Scientists In Nigeria Claim To Have Discovered Vaccine For Coronavirus


The Nigerian universities’ scientists (COVID-19 Research Group) have made a claim of discovering of vaccine for COVID-19.

The scientists made the disclosure on Friday, June 19, saying the vaccine was being developed locally in Africa for Africans but would also work for other continents when unveiled, The Guardian reported.

According to the report gathered, Dr Oladipo Kolawole, the leader of the team, said it will take a minimum of 18 months for the vaccine to be unveiled to the public. He added that it is because a lot of analysis and studies, as well as approvals by medical authorities, were still required.
