A total sum of N4.5 billion has being released to 31 federal teaching hospital and medical centres across the country by the Federal Government, on Friday, June 19, following the ongoing strike residents doctors embarked on.
Chris Ngige, the minister of labour and employment made this known during the time of briefing State House Correspondents after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja.
Following the FG’s threats on Tuesday, June 16, of ‘no work no pay order against the doctors’ commencement of nationwide strike over unpaid salaries, lack of personal protective equipment (PPE) in the hospitals and other entitlements.
